  7.     Soap operas are silly, indulgent and exasperating. With
  8. all that to offer, what more could a movie reveal about the
  9. making of one? You'll find out this month in Soapdish, a comedic
  10. romp centering on the off-screen escapades of the actors and
  11. staff of a daytime drama. The cast includes ROBERT DOWNEY JR.,
  12. SALLY FIELD, KEVIN KLINE, ELISABETH SHUE and WHOOPI GOLDBERG.
  13. Off-screen, it seems, is saucier than on. Field, who stars as
  14. a soap diva, says, "We all have a past history with each other
  15. and are trying to knife each other in the back. Life keeps
  16. topping the soap."
